First Days of Winter

It was late November, and the snow had not yet arrived in the forest. The land was still in a transition state, no longer full of energy but not yet in the Winter slumber, either.

Small bits of magic could still be discovered near the forest floor.

Soon, the hoarfrost came. Everything became covered in a beautiful layer of crisp white.

The days became very short, but the light reflected by the frost lasted for almost two hours after sunset…

The early morning light lit up the frost-covered ground, and the play of light and shadow made the forest floor appear as corals in the deep sea.

The sky was often covered in clouds, but the light of the morning sun sometimes lit up the landscape from a low angle, creating the most beautiful contrast…

The magnificent lone birch covered in frost stood over the forest like a watchful guardian.

Then, the snow finally came.

The village was enshrouded in a Winter dream, though if you looked closely, you could still see signs of life all around.

But while the land was still alive, a deep sense of stillness and tranquillity had permeated the atmosphere.

A time to slow down, reflect, and rest.
